ScratchWorks Praises the House for Passing the Build Back Better Act with Funding for Scratch Cooking
ScratchWorks commends the House for passing the Build Back Better Act and urges the Senate to do the same swiftly.
The $10 billion for child nutrition programs included in this bill is a long-needed investment in the health and wellbeing of our nation’s youth. In particular, the $30 million for scratch cooking technical assistance and school kitchen equipment grants will help ensure that every child has daily access to highly nutritious meals at school.
ScratchWorks is especially grateful to Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott and Congresswoman Jahana Hayes for their firm commitment to robust child nutrition provisions throughout this process.
